New York Giants coach John Harbaugh’s raid on the Baltimore Ravens coaching staff continued Thursday night with the news that Defensive backs coach Donald D’Alesio is coming north.
D’Alesio began his coaching career at Youngstown State in 2015. His first NFL job was with the Kansas City Chiefs. From 2021 to 2024, he spent four seasons under former Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. D’Alesio spent the last three seasons under Spagnuolo as safeties coach. Kansas City won two Super Bowl titles while D’Alesio was on staff.

D’Alesio moved to Baltimore last season to work under Harbaugh as defensive backs coach.
In New York, D’Alesio will inherit a position group that has significantly underperformed in 2025.
Search for offensive coordinator
Since losing top pick Todd Monken to the Cleveland Browns as head coach, Harbaugh has been busy putting together a list of potential coordinators. That list currently includes Denver Broncos quarterbacks coach Davis Webb, Indianapolis Colts offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter, Colts passing game coordinator Alex Tanney and Los Angeles Chargers quarterbacks coach Shane Day.
