Cologne Under-19s have broken the attendance record for a UEFA Youth League match with 50,000 watching the team take on Inter Milan.
The match in Germany crushed the previous largest crowd, the 40,368 in attendance when Turkey’s Trabzonspor hosted Italy’s Inter in April 2025.

Played at Cologne’s RheinEnergieStadion – one of the Bundesliga’s biggest stadiums – tickets for Wednesday’s match were sold out more than a week in advance.
The home fans, however, failed to spur them to victory, with the Italians winning 3-1.
Cologne’s senior team is 10th in the Bundesliga and last competed in European competition in 2022-23 when they competed in the Conference League.
