The first race of the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season will feature the usual NCTS stars, but several other notable names.
It was previously announced that NASCAR Hall of Famer Tony Stewart would join the Kaulig Racing Ram team, making his first appearance in the Truck Series in nearly 20 years. The field will also include former Daytona 500 winners Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Michael McDowell, extreme sports star Travis Pastrana, and experienced Cup drivers like John Hunter Nemechek and Corey LaJoie.

On Thursday, Spire Motorsports added another name to that impressive list, and it’s none other than Carson Hocevar. The aggressive driver is a proven winner in the Truck Series, earning five victories with Niece Motorsports and competing in 81 races over the past few years.
Hocevar, who is now full-time in the Cup Series as the driver of the No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro, will also drive the No. 77 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet *Silverado* in the Truck Series race at Daytona.

IKEA and Best Buy will support this effort as co-lead sponsors.
“At the end of the day, it’s super cool to represent two great brands that I know have strong ties to the NASCAR fan base,” Hocevar said. “My first time building furniture was an IKEA set, and I obviously play a lot of video games and buy my electronics at Best Buy. Having the two connected and riding the No. 77 Silverado with me at Daytona is really special. I’ve enjoyed watching the Spire Motorsports trucks there the last two years, and I’m excited to be a part of it now.”
