Denny Hamlin said he will compete in the 2026 NASCAR Cup season despite a lingering shoulder issue.
Hamlin’s shoulder issues began when he tore his labrum and underwent surgery on his right rotator cuff during the 2023-24 offseason. His shoulder took time to heal, and Hamlin said he aggravated his injury in late December when he fell while inspecting damage from a house fire in Stanley, North Carolina, that killed his father, Dennis, and left his mother, Mary Lou, seriously injured.
