Last month, USC signed the nation’s No. 1 recruiting class for the 2026 cycle. Once this course is completed, the Trojan horses are now looking towards 2027.
On Saturday, the Trojans landed their first commitment in the 2027 class, landing four-star cornerback Aaryn Washington. 247Sports Composite ranks Washington as the No. 83 overall player and No. 9 cornerback in the 2027 class.

Washington comes to the Trojans from the renowned pipeline program at USC Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California. Other notable players who came to USC from Mater Dei include Matt Leinart, Matt Barkley and Amon-Ra St. Brown.
“With USC, I built a lot of relationships with the entire coaching staff, Washington said in an interview with 247Sports. “Really, they showed me that they had everything I needed to get to the next level.
“Having all these best players in your backyard, why not just keep them all in the city? We want to do it for the city and make USC great again. We know USC can be great.”
With general manager Chad Bowden leading the way, the Trojans appear to have finally figured out recruiting in the NIL era, landing an elite 2026 class. With Bowden leading the way, expect USC to draft another strong recruiting class in 2027.
