Spire Motorsports has confirmed that the two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch will run eight NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series races with the organization this year. Cup driver friends Ross Chastain and Carson Hocevar will also manage much of the NCTS program alongside their Sunday duties.

Busch, 40, has more victories than any other driver in Truck Series history. In addition to 63 Cup victories and 102 O’Reilly Auto Parts Series victories, he also has 67 truck victories.

His most recent victory came in a dramatic photo finish at Atlanta last year, driving for Spire Motorsports. He will compete in eight Truck races this year with the team in the No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado, and HendrickCars.com will support the effort.

“I am thrilled to have been able to work with Jeff (Dickerson, owner), Brian (Pattie, crew chief) and everyone at Spire Motorsports to increase my number of races to the eight allowed this year,” Busch said in a team release.

“With the schedule we have set, the majority of tracks at which I have a chance to score plenty of wins, but there are also a few that I have yet to win at in the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series that I will be looking to add to the win list. I look forward to competing in every race, doing everything we can to bring Mr. H, HendrickCars.com and the other partners that will fill out the schedule to Victory Lane.”
