Fox Corp.’s Outkick Host Riley Gaines Agrees With Boss Clay Travis Saying High School Kids Could Beat WNBA Champions

CHARLY ARNOLT (OUTKICK HOST): Riley let’s get into the topic we just discussed, with Clay obviously being a little sarcastic in the way he phrased the question. But he says he’s willing to bet that the WNBA champions, still being the champions, the professional basketball players, couldn’t hold their own against any high school basketball team in the country. Is he sexist or is he just talking about the fact that men and women are very different in terms of what they are capable of athletically?

RILEY GAINES (OUTKICK HOST): Boom. Just there. It is not sexist to say that men and women are different. Like you said, it’s reality, it’s truth, it’s common sense, it’s logic, it’s reasoning, we all know that. We kind of learned it…actually, I don’t think it’s really necessary to learn it in school. You’ve known this since you were young. It is inherent to know that men and women are different and that doesn’t mean that women are inferior or that we aren’t capable or strong or anything else, it just means that we are different. And you can look at past events, let’s look at the United States women’s national soccer team, let’s look at Serena and Venus Williams, let’s look at these hockey teams that have done this and the result is always the same.

ARNOLT: So, I mean, so obviously you’re taking – if you’re betting, you’re going to bet on the boys’ basketball team, high school level, against a professional team, let alone the champions, the WNBA, don’t is this not ?

GAINES: Of course.
