Congratulations to WNBA legend Candace Parker after huge career recognition

WNBA legend Candace Parker is widely considered one of the greatest players to ever play in the league. And this week, she earned another huge career recognition to finally solidify her basketball legacy.

The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame announced its inductees for the Class of 2026 on Thursday. Parker was among those selectedalongside compatriot Elena Delle Donne and head coach Cheryl Reeve.

The induction ceremony honoring Candace Parker and others will take place June 27 of next year in Knoxville, Tennessee.

After his induction, basketball fans were quick to congratulate Parker, with many pointing out that it was well-deserved recognition for the player. LA Sparks legend.

“Congratulations Can,” one fan wrote. Another said: “Deserve it all! »

“Congratulations, Queen. Well deserved. This is the reason I started watching women’s colleges, Tennessee and the WNBA,” another fan wrote.

“Keep it up CP!!!” added another fan.

Given her contributions to the game and her personal accomplishments, it’s no surprise that Parker was recently honored as a Hall of Famer.

Candace Parker played in the WNBA for 16 years and established herself as one of the greatest players of all time in the league.

She is a two-time MVP, seven-time WNBA All-Star and one-time Defensive Player of the Year, among many other accomplishments.

The 39-year-old has also won the WNBA championship three times, all with different teams. She won her first title in 2016 with the Los Angeles Sparks, the team that drafted her first overall title in 2008.

She also won a championship with the Chicago Sky in 2021 as well as with the The Aces of Las Vegas team led by A’ja Wilson in her final season in 2023.
