In a recent interview with RivalsAbrams said he built a relationship with Auburn offensive coordinator Joel Gordon and assistant quarterbacks coach Hayden Kingston, and considered Golesh “a type of man I want to be coached under.” Wiltfong predicted Abrams would land with Iowa State before former head coach Matt Campbell left for Penn State. Now that the prediction has swung in Auburn’s favor, the Tigers must fend off strong calls from Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida State and Iowa before signing on December Day.
Auburn has the No. 51 recruiting class according to 247Sportswith a commitment in three-star tight end Trae “Tank” Proctor. The addition of Abrams would be a giant step forward in Golesh’s recruiting efforts and could lead to many more quality recruits signing with the Tigers before the end of the cycle.
