On defense, Indiana allowed just 11.1 points per game (second fewest in the nation).

As for the Hurricanes, sixth-year redshirt senior quarterback Carson Beck had 3,349 passing yards, 29 touchdowns and 11 interceptions on a 73.3 completion percentage. Miami also has a polarizing defense that allows just 14.0 points per game (fifth in the country).
