In the middle of WNBA offseason, several Indiana fever players have held other basketball jobs in the United States and abroad.
Kelsey Mitchell, Lexie Hull and Aliyah Boston all signed with Unrivaled, the women’s 3-on-3 basketball league founded by Breanna Stewart and Napheesa Collier. The second season of the tournament begins in January.

Meanwhile, Aerial Powers, Shey Peddy, Natasha Howard and Makayla Timpson have all found jobs outside the United States. Powers and Peddy are both in Türkiye playing for Canakkale Belediyespor, while Howard is in China with Sichuan.
Timson, who also joined Unrivaled as part of its “Development Pool”, is in the Czech Republic with USK Praha.

Powers, however, is not limited to playing overseas. The 31-year-old guard, who joined Fever via a rocky contract before landing a contract for the remainder of the season, is reportedly playing in Athletes Unlimited (AU) Pro Basketball when it kicks off in Nashville in February.

AU Pro Basketball announced the news Wednesday, writing, “bringing more POWER(S) to Nashville. I’m excited to welcome @wnba champion @aerial_powers23 to Season 5 of AU Pro Basketball.”
Powers, for his part, confirmed the development in the comments section of the tournament’s Instagram post and expressed his excitement about joining Season 5.
“Let’s go!!” » Powers wrote, with fire emojis. “I’m excited to join season 5!!”
For what it’s worth, several Fever players also compete in AU Pro Basketball. Sydney Colson, Odyssey Sims, Brianna Turner and Bree Hall are also traveling to Nashville for the competition.

For those who are not aware, Athletes Unlimited is a unique 5v5 basketball game league that pits four teams against each other over four weeks of basketball.
What makes it unique is the fact that the players are shuffled every week. This means that players have a new team and a new set of teammates every week. The scoring system is also different, since the player with the most points on the leaderboard is declared champion, instead of a team. Players earn points by winning a game or quarter, making positive plays on the field, and being voted into the top three in the MVP race.
Indeed, it will be interesting to see how Powers and her Fever teammates perform in AU Pro Basketball.
