The Falcons made the winger tight, Kyle Pitts was a first round choice in 2021 due to the potential he showed in Florida and that looked like a good bet when he caught 68 passes for 1,026 yards during his recruit season.
Pitts, however, did not match these figures in the last three seasons. He suffered a knee injury in his second season and caught 100 assists for 1,269 yards in the past two seasons. This did not prevent the Falcons from collecting the Pitts option for the 2025 season, but that does not guarantee anything PFT live To scouting last week.
Morris said that Pitts “had matches where it potentially seems the best player of the football team”, but they were equaled by less impressive outings and that this year’s goal is to make him a more coherent threat.
“He has moments that let you want more, leave you by wishing more,” said Morris. “With a guy like Michael Penix who believes in him, you want to see if you can get more. We will take it as far as we can take it from the point of view of training.”
If the Falcons can do it, Pitts will be online for a big contract at that time next season, but the last four years do not offer much evidence that it is a probable result.
