New York Daily News | Peter Sblendorio: The Yankees’ major pieces of business appear to be complete for the winter, after the team agreed to terms with Cody Bellinger last week. That makes Belli the club’s biggest addition (or retread) alongside returning Trent Grisham and new Yankees pitcher Ryan Weathers. It’s not exactly as big of a sensation as some division opponents made this offseason, with the Blue Jays, Red Sox and Orioles all on paper a little better than they were at the end of 2025. The Yankees are betting on repeating the “success” of 2025 with a very similar roster, and it will take a few months to see if that bet pays off.
MLB.com | Bryan Murphy: The key to the Yankees’ success in 2026 will be a repeat of Carlos Rodón’s strong campaign, even as the left-hander continues to recover from elbow surgery on his throwing arm. The No. 1-B pitcher had bone chips removed from his joint in October, and while he is still expected to start the season on the IL, his recovery appears to be progressing normally. Rodón himself seems thrilled to be able to button his own shirt, and if that’s the mile he needs to hit at this point, that’s good news.

FanGraphs | David Laurila: We now know that two former Yankees were elected in Cooperstown, with Andruw Jones and Carlos Beltrán having obtained the required 75 percent of the BBWAA votes for consecration. Another ex-Bomber, Bobby Abreu, appears to have a harder time building his voting record, and with three years remaining on the ballot, he could end up falling just below baseball’s most exclusive club.
