Report: Deebo, 49ers restructure contract to create salary space

Report: Deebo, 49ers restructure contract to create salary space originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area

THE 49ers continued their quest to create additional space under the 2024 salary cap, reportedly restructuring the star receiver Deebo Samuelcontract after also making changes to Defensive tackle Maliek Collins’ contract Tuesday.

Samuel and the 49ers have agreed to a contract restructuring that creates an additional $16.4 million in cap space, ESPN’s Field Yates reported Tuesday.

The 49ers have restructured WR Deebo Samuel’s contract, creating $16.4 million in salary cap space.

The Ravens have restructured the contracts of DT Nnamdi Madubuike, K Justin Tucker and LB Roquan Smithcreating a capitalization space of $9.3 million.

Samuel begins the second season of a three-year, $71 million contract extension he signed in July 2022.

The All-Pro wideout has 60 receptions for 892 yards and seven touchdowns in 15 appearances during the 2023 NFL season, adding another 225 yards and five scores on the ground.
