Louisville announces themed games for 2023-24 women’s basketball season

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The 2023-24 Louisville women’s basketball season themed schedule and promotions are final. The list below identifies each game with its specific promotion.

Sunday, November 12 at 4 p.m. against DePaul

Opening at home

Fresh off their fifth straight year of reaching at least the Elite 8 of the NCAA Tournament, the Cards return to the KFC Yum! Center to start the 2023-2024 season.

Thursday November 16 at 7 p.m. vs Bellarmine

Teddy bear toss game and toy collection

Bring a stuffed animal into the arena and throw it on the field at halftime; the collected items will be sent to the Ardi bears who will distribute them to local young people.

Toys are also accepted for local donations. There will be collection bins at each entrance where toys should be placed while stuffed animals can be taken to the seats.

Sunday November 19 at 4 p.m. against Bucknell

Kroger Food Drive

Louisville Women’s Basketball has partnered with Kroger to increase food accessibility ahead of the holidays. Bring a non-perishable food item to KFC Yum! Donation center for the benefit of the most deprived.

Sunday, December 3 at 12 p.m. against North Carolina A&T

Children’s Day and Spirit Day

Arrival !!! Children will take possession of the KFC Yum! Center and participate in several in-game activities. The first 250 children registered for an in-game activity will receive a free ticket; Join Junior Louie’s Kids Club for priority access to registration.

Louisville Cheer and the Ladybirds will also host a pre-game dance and cheer clinic that will culminate in a performance on the field at halftime.

Sunday, December 10 at 2 p.m. against Kentucky

Red exit

Wear your favorite Red Cards gear for the annual Battle of the Bluegrass game.

Wednesday, December 13 at 4 p.m. against Morehead State

Barbieheimer

A theme in partnership with men’s basketball under the name KFC Yum! The Center hosts its only doubleheader of the season. Both games will be themed after the iconic film “Barbenheimer” which took the box office by storm over the summer.

Wednesday December 20 at 7 p.m. against Washington

Disco Evening

Women’s basketball pays homage to the city that manufactured the majority of the world’s disco balls… at home! Celebrate in your coolest outfit and head to KFC Yum! Center for a dazzling night.

Thursday January 4 at 8 p.m. vs Duke

Comic book evening

Boom! Ugh! Bang! The conference game opens with comic book-themed activities and promotions.

Sunday January 14 at 2 p.m. vs Wake Forest

Salute to service

To honor active and retired military personnel, $5 discounted tickets are available for purchase.

Thursday, January 25 at 7 p.m. vs. Boston College

Health Hero

To thank our frontline workers, first responders and those working in healthcare, $5 discounted tickets are available for purchase.

Sunday January 28 at 2 p.m. against Pitt

pink game

Join Louisville Women’s Basketball in the fight against breast cancer and honor local breast cancer survivors. Discounted $5 tickets are available for purchase for those who have previously battled or are currently battling breast cancer.

Thursday February 1 at 7 p.m. vs Syracuse

Faculty and staff appreciation and mental health awareness

For all they do for the University of Louisville community, discounted tickets are available for purchase for $5 for all faculty and staff.

Thursday February 8 at 6 p.m. vs Notre Dame

Mardi Gras evening

The Bourbon Street tradition is coming to the Bourbon City. Celebrate Mardi Gras early with Louisville women’s basketball.

Sunday, February 18 at 1 p.m. against Virginia Tech

Celebrating Black Culture

Louisville women’s basketball is celebrating Black History Month by celebrating black culture. Special edition uniforms will be worn for this game.

Sunday February 25 at 12 p.m. against Virginia

Girl Scout Day and National Girls and Women in Sports Day

In partnership with the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana, pre-game activities are held for troops and their families in the upper concourse.

Join Louisville Women’s Basketball for a special celebration of girls and women in sports.

Thursday, February 29 at 8 p.m. against Florida State

Senior Day

Join Louisville Women’s Basketball in honoring this year’s senior class. Get a limited edition poster, while supplies last.
