NLCS Game 7 – a thrilling 4-2 victory for the Arizona Diamondbacks, who had the full support of Braves Country, against the Philadelphia Phillies – on TBS.
High times.
The opposite could be said of the emotions that have reigned in the Fox studios over the past 36 hours.
Of course, everyone loves playoff baseball, especially tension-filled Game 7s like last night. (Texas’ 11-4 victory in the ALCS was as tense as a Benny Hill marathon.)
But when we think Fall Classic, Texas-Arizona doesn’t come to mind. Heck, anyone who had one of these clubs in the bottom two — Texas finished fourth in 2022 in the AL West at 68-94; Arizona finished fourth in the NL West at 74-88 in 2022 – before the season, take a victory lap.
