Major League Baseball: The 2023 MLB season is officially over with the Texas Rangers defeat the Arizona Diamondbacks four games to one in a best-of-seven series. This victory marked the first World Series in franchise history for the Rangers, who were major underdogs entering the season.

The Rangers were listed at 50-1 odds to start the 2023 MLB season.

DraftKings Earnings: Thursday, DraftKings turnover declared in the third quarter of $790 million, up 57% year-over-year and beating analyst estimates.

The company saw strong customer engagement and ended the quarter with 2.3 million monthly unique paying customers on average, up 40% year over year.

DraftKings launched its sports betting in Kentucky in the third quarter and plans to launch operations in Maine, Puerto Rico, Vermont and North Carolina in 2024, under updated guidance.

Revenue and EBITDA guidance was raised for 2023 and the company shared a first look at guidance for 2024, sending shares higher to close out the week.
