Seven-time Grand Slam singles winner Venus Williams announced her marriage to Andrea Preti in a social media post on Tuesday. The couple tied the knot this weekend in Palm Beach, Florida, during a five-day celebration.
“We all love each other so much.” Williams told Vogue Weddings. “It was simply the happiest, most beautiful, sweetest day.”

Williams met Preti, a Danish actor and model, in 2024 at Milan Fashion Week. Neither had initially planned to attend the event.
“I was at Lake Como on a sisters’ trip when I got an invitation last minute and decided to go on a whim, and Andrea was tired,” Williams told Vogue. “None of us planned to be there.”
Preti introduced himself to Williams at the event and they immediately started messaging. Williams then invited him to have breakfast with his family soon after in London. The couple got engaged in January.
Serena Williams posted on Instagram to congratulate her sister on the big event.
At 45, Williams became the second-oldest woman to win a singles match on the WTA Tour in July. She is set to play her 33rd consecutive season on the WTA Tour in 2026, starting with a tournament in January in Auckland for which she received a wild card.

In addition to her seven Grand Slam singles titles, Williams has won 14 Grand Slam women’s doubles titles alongside her sister. She also has two Grand Slam titles in mixed doubles.
