Tom Brady appeared to take issue with a joke that was told during his dinner party Sunday night, but viewers couldn’t tell if the legendary quarterback was serious or taking the joke. It appears to be the former.
Andrew Schultz addressed the Brady joke during the latest episode of the comedian’s “Flagrant,” which aired Wednesday. Schultz, who was one of the hosts of the Netflix special, was asked about the time Jeff Ross made a joke about Patriots owner Robert Kraft, and Brady came on stage to tell Ross, “Don’t you ever say that shit again.” see the exchange here.
The joke, which referred to Kraft being arrested in massage parlor sting operation In 2019, the comments made by Brady and Ross were rather mild compared to what was said during the ceremony. That’s why many thought the interaction between Brady and Ross was staged. Schultz believes it was genuine.
“I think it was 100 percent true. The reason I think it’s true is because they didn’t tell us any jokes about happy endings with Bob Kraft,” Schultz said.
Schultz explained that he also wrote a joke about Kraft, but was told that Kraft’s famous massage was a taboo subject.
Brady has long been loyal to Kraft and has said the 82-year-old is like a second father to him. It would make sense that Brady wouldn’t want Kraft to become collateral damage during the roast. Brady’s ex-wife is likely wants the same rules to apply to her.
