The Wolverines’ final regular season game won’t sideline coach Jim Harbaugh after being suspended on November 10 while awaiting an investigation for sign theft. The team’s last victory against Maryland achieved his 1,000th victory.
Due to the Big Ten’s suspension, Harbaugh is not allowed to play the final three games of the season. Michigan coach accepted the suspension.
In the meantime, offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore was supposed to lead the Wolverines in the last three matches – two of the matches they managed to win against State of Pennsylvania And Maryland.
Harbaugh hired Moore away from Central Michigan in 2018, and he coached tight ends for three seasons before leading the offensive line and adding play-calling duties, becoming a rising star in the coaching ranks .
Moore, who began his coaching career in 2009 as a graduate assistant at Louisville, hopes to help the Wolverines block out on-field distractions in pursuit of a third straight Big Ten championship and their first national title since 1997.
