The WNBA officially has a weird problem. Fans continue to launch sex toys on the floor during the matches.

The fever striker Sophie Cunningham was the last apparent target after one was thrown from the stands in Los Angeles while the Indiana played the Sparks on Tuesday evening.

The incident in Los Angeles occurred with 2:05 to do in the second quarter with the land landing in the paint near Cunningham, which jumped back before it was launched from the ground by the star of Sparks, Kelsey Plum.

Cunningham, which has a wide element of social networks, was among the players who denounced the trend. This is at least the third incident in which the toys struck the courts through the WNBA last week.

“I think it’s ridiculous, it’s stupid, it’s stupid,” said Sparks coach Lynne Roberts, according to the Associated Press. “It’s also dangerous and players’ safety is number one. Respect the game. All these things. I think it’s really stupid. ”

A week ago, the first incident occurred in Atlanta, Dream’s match against Golden State in College Park, Georgia. A fan was arrested, according to the WNBA, and was ejected from the arena and faced a minimum prohibition of one year.

Another sex toy was launched in Chicago on Friday under a basket after a whistle was blown to stop the game during the third quarter of the 73-66 victory from Golden State on the sky.

An official has put the object aside before it was picked up and withdrawn.

According to social networks, Green Toys was also launched in Phoenix and New York, but did not reach the court. That of the Barclays Center landed near a child, according to the Associated Press.

The WNBA addressed the issue in a press release.

“The security and well-being of all in our arenas are an absolute priority for our league. Objects of any type thrown on the field or in the lounge area may present a security risk for players, game managers and fans,” said the League.

“In accordance with the security standards of the WNBA Arena, any fan who intentionally throws an object in the court will be immediately ejected and will face a minimum prohibition of one year in addition to being subjected to an arrest and prosecution by the local authorities.”
