In one of what will probably be many LNH trade moves, the former winger of Nashville predators, Anthony Beauvillier, is again in motion, passing from Pittsburgh Penguins to Washington Capitals and producing a second round choice in 2025 in the process.
Beauvillier, 27, was initially acquired by the predators of the Chicago Blackhawks leading to the NHL trade deadline last year, with Nashville separating from a fifth round choice in 2024 for his services.
The old first round choice failed to make a big impact In a short time in Nashville, producing a goal and two assists in 15 regular season games and a goal and a decisive pass in six games in the playoffs.
Beauvillier scored 13 goals, seven assists and 20 points in 63 games after having signed a one -year contract with Pittsburgh in July, but his modest production is, apparently, enough to produce a solid project capital on the deadline.
It should be noted that the 13 goals of Beauvillier would be tied with the Tommy Novak recentlyIronically now a member of the Penguins, for the fifth on the predators, dragging only Steven StamkosRyan O’Reilly, Jonathan Marchessault and Filip Forsberg.
The predators were only one of the three teams that Beauvillier played for last season; Chicago and Vancouver were the others.
