Rick Barnes and the Tennessee basketball coaching staff have offered a scholarship to 2027 combo guard prospect LJ Smith.
“Extremely fortunate to receive an offer from the University of Tennessee,” Smith said.
Smith was recruited by Tennessee assistant coach Justin Gainey.
The 6-foot-4, 180-pound combo guard prospect hails from Lincolnton High School in Lincolnton, North Carolina.
There are currently no recruiting rankings for Smith from 247Sports, On3, Rivals or ESPN.
Smith has scholarship offers from Tennessee, Texas A&MMississippi State, Hampton, Stetson, Tennessee State, Radford, Kansas, GeorgiaVirginia Tech, Oklahoma State, West Virginia, Charlotte, Wichita State and Memphis.
Memphis was the first school to offer Smith a scholarship on May 14.
