The Florida Panthers returned to the column of victories for the first time since the break of the 4 nations.
Playing in Nashville for the only time this season, the panthers took an early advance and never abandoned it, skating in a 4-1 victory on Tuesday evening in Bridgestone Arena.
An early delay in the game penalty in the home team would lead Florida to the opening goal.
With the washer on its stick on the side of the net, Sam Reinhart cut the slit and led for the distant post.
Instead of drawing, however, Reinhart returned to a follow -up of Sam Bennett who had a large open net to guide the washer.
The score would remain 1-0 until the start of the second period.
Justin Sourdif, playing in his fourth NHL match after being called Ahl Charlotte on Monday, made a great decision to cut in the Nashville area and after a small game with Jesper Boqvist, diverted a pass on the juy glove Saros for his first NHL goal.
The Florida held its advance from 2-0 until 4:30 am in the third period when Michael McCarron rode on the doorstep and pulled two backhands to the goalkeeper of the Spencer Knight Panthers.
He stopped the first blow but the attempted rebound of McCarron slipped under Knight’s pads, cutting his heads in two with a lot of time.
A sneaky shot from Gus who left the half-plates that may have won Ryan O’Reilly on his way in front of Saros restored the two-way panthers’ advance with a little less than 11 minutes.
Mackie Samoskevich scored a nice goal in the last minutes that came out of a big flight and go to Bennett to seal the victory.
Credit in Bennett, which ended a nice tour of the Gordie Howe hat after fighting Cole Smith earlier in the period.
Overall, it was a solid victory for the cats from start to finish.
On a revenge of the Stanley Cup with the Oilers.
