The Texans interviewed the attacking coordinator of Syracuse Jeff Nixon for their post as an offensive coordinator, Esime DJ of ESPN Reports.
The team seeks to replace the attacking coordinator Bobby Slowik, which they fired after the season.
Syracuse had offensive No. 1 in the country while the quarter-Arrière Kyle McCord broke the record record in a season in one season in the first season of Nixon with Orange. McCord launched for 4,779 yards by the pass to break the record held by the former quarter of Clemson Deshaun Watson.
Nixon called the games for the panthers under head coach Matt Rhule after the team dismissed Joe Brady as an offensive coordinator in 2021, he therefore has a limited call experience in the NFL.
Nixon resulted in Les Eagles (2007-10), Dolphins (2011-15), 49ers (2016), Panthers (2020-22) and Giants (2023) in his career in the NFL. He mainly trained runners as a job coach.
