PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan and Yasir Al-Rumayyan of the PIF, which funds the LIV Golf League, are meeting again this week in person.
Monahan was in Saudi Arabia this week to attend the Future Investment Initiative, an annual conference hosted by the PIF in Riyadh. Bunkered.co.uk first reported the story, noting his presence alongside other PGA “team members.”
Monahan and Al-Rumayyan recently played as a quartet at the DP World Tour’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship, a pro-am event in Scotland, their first public meeting since the televised handshake announcing a framework deal in June 2023. Monahan declined to comment. on the state of the negotiations, which have dragged on since June 2023, and which put an end to the legal battle between the Tour and LIV Golf.
