Report: Free-agent forward Crowder to practice for Kings originally appeared on NBC Sports Bay Area
THE Kings it seems they allow another aging NBA Role Player working with the team.
Twelve years old Veteran forward Jae Crowder is intended to work with Sacramento this week, FOX40’s Sean Cunningham reported Tuesday, citing sources.
Free agent forward Jae Crowder will reportedly practice with the Sacramento Kings this week. The 34-year-old veteran was with the Roe deer last season.

Crowder has been a useful reserve for the Milwaukee Bucks during the 2023-24 NBA season, averaging 6.2 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 0.8 steals in 23.1 minutes per game.
He made 25 starts when the Bucks were in the lead Giannis Antetokounmpo And Khris Middleton have been injured; however, Crowder’s health has been a red flag in recent NBA seasons.
A left adductor injury kept Crowder out of Milwaukee’s rotation for two months last season and limited the winger to 50 games. Over his last two campaigns, Crowder has played a troubling 68 games and has only topped the 60-game mark twice in his last six seasons.
Still, both the Kings and Crowder could potentially benefit from a partnership.
Sacramento could use a veteran winger off the bench to support star forwards DeMar DeRozan And Keegan MurrayCrowder’s 6-foot-8 frame and two-way history would make him a reliable asset to Mike Brown, Kings coach.
Crowder would also bring solid NBA playoff experience to a Kings team that is poised to reach the postseason in what would be the second time in 19 seasons.
Crowder starred in 12 NBA Finals games and averaged 10.1 points on 39.2 percent shooting, 5.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists on 115 total playoff appearances.
But of course, Crowder is still on the market for a reason.
While he shot over 40 percent of his shots in the playoffs between 2019-20 and 2021-22, those numbers have dropped off significantly of late.
Crowder has shot about 24 percent over the last two playoff series. His playing time has also declined as a result, with Crowder hovering around 10 per game over the same span.
Fans should find out soon if Crowder will make the team. The 2024-25 Kings seasonOpening night against the Minnesota Timberwolves is around the corner on October 24 at the Golden 1 Center.
If Crowder makes the team, he’ll probably help Sacramento marginally. But any help is welcome.
