Dak Prescott inspired the Dallas Cowboys to their seventh straight victory over the New York Giants with a 20-15 win.
The 31-year-old quarterback, the highest paid player in NFL historyfound running back Rico Dowdle for the first of two touchdown passes to give the Cowboys the lead at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Prescott then found CeeDee Lamb for a 55-yard score, with the wide receiver subsequently penalized for taunting, after turning toward the home crowd and folding his arms.
The Giants were held to five Greg Joseph field goals by the Cowboys’ imposing defense.
It was the Cowboys’ second win in four games, while the Giants have lost three of four, putting them at the bottom of the NFC East standings.
“It was absolutely huge,” Prescott said.
“After losing two, especially at home, before a division one game on the road. Division wins are always tough and you’re on the road before a long weekend.”
The Giants’ night got even worse when star wide receiver Malik Nabers suffered a concussion late in the loss.
The rookie, making his fourth appearance, received medical treatment on the field after hitting the ground hard with just over three minutes remaining and was ruled out of the game.
