Penn State faces his last non -conference opponent, while the Wildcats of Villanova come to town. How does the staff see him playing?

As mentioned in this week MmqbI have some concerns. Especially that the racing game continues a problem and the offensive line does not behave as well as at the end of last season. It is possible that it is a problem of intensity, or that there are communication adjustments, a blocking style, etc., but anyway, it retains the offense. Villanova seems to be an opponent who can help solve these problems, because it is an FCS team – although one of the best teams in the FCS. I expect the floor game to receive more attention from coaches, while Allar and Co. continue to stretch the new WR muscles.

Penn State goes up early on the board and holds a fairly comfortable advance at halftime. Unlike last week, backups get a decent series of playing time, but again, depth players allow a late score (or two).

After the offensive performance against the CRF, I would be really shocked if everyone had at least concern about the offensive line and the racing game at the point of the season. Will it be the game of these two units directly the ship? Villanova is not a Cupcake level FCS team, and although Nittany Lions should easily win, it will not be as comfortable as the majority of the fans base. Nittany Lions are leading all along, but do not blow as much as experts and pure and hard.

All I want to see is an offense that plays like a fire has been lit under their collective buttocks and says that their will as an alleged FBS Top 5 program should even against a very good FCS program. I want Drew Allar to look clearer and in a good head space, I want Nicholas Singleton to stop thinking so much and hit this hole big open for a big race, and I want the O-Line line to hit Villanova defenders on their donkeys like it is EA Sports Football 26 and played as The Unit that we saw in this last half of last season. Everything that gives us positive vibrations before Bye week before the first big test of the season against Oregon.

Another week. Another general rehearsal that will leave some terrified fans, certain media members questioning Penn State’s place in the world of university football, and almost everyone (players included) by simply saying: “Let’s go to Oregon.” I would like to see Penn State finish earlier earlier. I would love to see Singleton having a big match. I would like the defense to remain healthy and for other seconds to get involved. Whatever happens, it will be good to get this part of the season behind us.

Penn State should roll in it, although Villanova is one of the best teams in the FCS. When the Wildcats came to the Beaver Stadium in 2021, they closed the Penn State floor game, carrying the difficulties that the racing game would have for the rest of the season. There are similar grunts on the race game this year, and if the Nittany Lions are real this year, they will have to assert themselves early and often. I think that in this stage, everyone is ready to go to the more difficult part of the calendar, in particular by seeing how the other major teams in the country have already played better competition by week 3 than Penn State. Penn State will be 1-0 this week, then we are in Oregon.

Villanova is the FCS team classified n ° 11 and has just released a call from the playoffs. They should not be taken lightly, because we often see a handful of teams from the rows of the FCS withdraw the upheavals every September. However, this Penn State team is too well trained and talented to be one of them.
The offensive should bounce back after a performance below the second week, in particular a dry day and their final development before Oregon comes to town. The strategy seems to be to work on specific things before the season, rather than scoring at will against non -proven adversaries surpassed. I expect an ALLAR performance which recalls more the first week, including two Touché passes before giving way to Ethan Grunkemeyer.

The defense should produce big games to the delight of the Beaver Stadum crowd. Colgate was able to transform the unidimensional Wildcats offensive by filling the race. If Penn State can follow suit, expect a few reversals that will help the Nittany Lions to move forward by half-time.
Although some questions can stay, Penn State is in the process of 3-0 while closing his non-conference list.
