Five days after the fall, the lessons started in Wofford, the five athletes were invited to break their lease to remain eligible. They did it on September 3. In addition, players want Perry and Anderson to be reintegrated in their positions since athletes have been transferred to Wofford to play for them.
“Based on my investigation this week, nothing indicates that before this out-of-campus meal plan, coach Perry was not in danger of being withdrawn as a head coach of Wofford”, ” Peper said to Whiteman.
“I can only speak for my players, who all said in uncertain terms, both in writing and during meetings this week with various administrators, which they are here to play for coach Perry,” he added.
With Perry’s dismissal, Wofford’s male basketball players have a 30 -day window to enter the transfer portal under NCAA rules. Peper said that players he represents could explore entry into the portal if Perry and Anderson did not recover their work.
