Kansas City, MO. – With a voice that transcends the cinema screen and is familiar to the generations of fans, winner of an Oscars, actor, producer, director and narrator Morgan Freeman was appointed Grand Maréchal de Pennzoil 400 of this year at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday, March 16.

Freeman used his undeniable voice and gave life to several documentaries on Nascar, helping to capture the drama and the passion for sport while telling the stories of legendary characters and memorable moments that defined sport.
The racing action begins in Las Vegas Motor Speedway from Thursday with the famous transport parade at the bottom of Las Vegas strip with a racing action starting on Friday March 14, with the Nascar Craftsman Truck Series race.
The race for the Nascar Xfinity series will take place on Saturday March 15, followed by the Nascar Cup Series race on Sunday March 16.
