Trade rumors with the Maxx.

The immediate future seems to guarantee one thing for Max Crosby and the Las Vegas Raiders – there will be more questions than answers. This continues to be an offseason where the trade winds swirl around the star passer, meaning his time in Sin City could be limited.

Crosby was loyal to the Raiders, staying despite numerous losses between Oakland and Vegas. The Raiders have managed to make just one playoff game since drafting the Eastern Michigan product in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

The star defender did his part, however, posting 69.5 sacks and 164 quarterback hits in 110 games. Seeming satisfied with the direction of the team, Crosby extended his stay in Vegas by signing a Three-year, $106.5 million extension last offseason.

That changed at the end of the 2025 season, but general manager John Spytek expects Crosby to stay with the team through the 2026 season — although the general manager hasn’t ruled out a trade. telling reporters on February 24 that he will always listen.

Maxx Crosby Landing Spots

Chicago Bear

THE Bear They were expected to take a step forward this season, but it was a giant leap that put them on the brink of the NFC championship game. Are they smugglers? It’s hard to say, but there’s no doubt that Crosby would be a good addition to Chicago’s defense, which finished tied for seventh in fewest sacks in the league (35).

Cap space could be an issue, but the Bears should have no problem pulling the trigger on a deal if they think it puts them over the top.

Dallas Cowboys

Crosby grew up in Colleyville, Texas, just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The Cowboys make sense not only for a potential homecoming, but also because the defense desperately needs bodies to slow down opposing offenses. Scoring points hasn’t been Dallas’ problem. However, preventing points was a different story.

Fortunately for the Cowboys, they align well for a potential trade. With the looming reality of a franchise tag for George Pickenshe would make sense as a potential piece for a deal involving Crosby. Jerry Jones loves to make a splash and acquiring the Raiders star would help make up for the loss of Micah Parsons last offseason. This would involve finding a new vice-presidential candidate for Lamb CeeDeebecause paying top dollar for him and Pickens may not be the most logical solution from a cap perspective.

Tennessee Titans

Some teams have a cap crisis. The Titans are one of those teams that can spend without even thinking about the bank account this offseason. Tennessee’s new coaching staff, led by Robert Saleh and Brian Daboll, will look to make a second-year jump Cam Roombut don’t forget defense. They can go different ways this offseason, but Crosby could be a transformative piece for Saleh in his second attempt as an NFL head coach.

Also don’t overlook the reality of the team moving into a new stadium in 2027. Ward and Crosby would have the chance to be the faces of the franchise, putting fans in the seats and selling lots of tickets when the new Nissan Stadium opens in Music City.

NFL CAP SPACES RANKINGS: Titans lead in 2026 offseason with $100 million

New England Patriots

From Mike Vrabel’s old team to his current team, don’t sleep on the Patriots. It may seem like a long time ago or in an alternate timeline, but they just played in Super Bowl 60. It was a game that ended poorly for New England, but it was the kind of game that forces some decisions. Do they stick to a methodical build or do they start swinging for the fences? Last year’s free agent class proved to be a game-changer, transforming the Patriots into a dominant defensive unit en route to the AFC championship.

Conventional wisdom suggests they shouldn’t double down and instead focus on offense, but what if Crosby made an already great unit even better? New England should make the decision and try to capitalize on Drake Maye’s rookie contract while they can.

New York Jets

The Jets can be connected to almost every player on the free agent and trade market this offseason. Does Crosby make sense to them? Probably not. Can we exclude this possibility? Absolutely not. The Jets’ terrible season landed them the second pick in a draft with a quarterback prospect at the top. That means they almost certainly won’t be competing next season and, barring a miracle, will be back here next offseason. Trading for Crosby is a win-win move that the Jets don’t have the luxury of making.

That doesn’t mean they won’t. Another bad season could bring more changes to the organization, meaning the front office and coaching staff could make big moves in hopes of keeping their jobs. With no shortage of draft picks or cap space, the Jets have the assets to acquire whoever they want on the trade or free agent markets, including Crosby.
