The Clippers may want former President Barack Obama to attend more matches.
He was in Los Angeles Thursday evening to watch the clippers face the Detroit pistons heated by red, but it turns out that the guy who was hot was James Harden – at 35, he left 50 years on Detroit, triggering the Clippers at a 123-115 victory.
“I wanted my photo with Presi after the match, but he left. I guess he wanted to beat the traffic,” joked Harden after the match. “But, we have a pretty cool relationship, we met several times. So, it’s pretty cool to see it in the game. This is the reason why I played so well.”
What could have been the most impressive in Harden’s efforts is that at 35, he did the second night on a back to back – and overnight, Kawhi Leonard and Norman Powell were released. The day before, Harden played 37 minutes and scored 21 points against the Suns.
“I can do it, this is not my first time,” said Harden, and it’s not his 24th 50 -point game. “For someone who probably did it, his first time takes a lot of energy, but for me, it’s just understanding the game. Seeing the game in the game.”
Detroit said the way the game was called the door to Harden.
“I mean, once again, give him a ton of credit, but if you are not allowed to put your body legally, and it is authorized to shoot 20 free throws, you will not be able to keep it,” said piston coach, JB Bickerstaff. “You know what I mean? It is an elite offensive weapon that can mark in several ways. But when it is authorized to go to the line of free throws 20 times, it makes your work extremely difficult.”
It was a key victory at the end of the season for the Clippers – only 1.5 games separated the Warriors during the seeded n ° 6 and the Kings with the seeded n ° 9 in the West. It will be tight until the thread and each victory will have importance.
