Amazon’s Prime Video has decided to sponsor a NASCAR team to help raise awareness of its first-ever racing series that it will stream on its platform, partnering with Hendrick Motorsports and its driver Chase Elliott.
The agreement was announced on Wednesday without any financial conditions. But the parties say Prime Video will be the primary sponsor of the No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet driven by Elliott for three races per year from 2025 to 2027, while serving as a season-long associate sponsor in other events.
At a top team like Hendrick Motorsports, a transaction involving such assets would typically be valued at seven figures per year. NASCAR runs 38-race campaigns from February to November.
