Charlotte, NC (AP) – The Nascar Corey Lajoie driver will manage a limited calendar of the series of cuts with Rick Ware Racing this year and will also be an analyst for the series of the series of Amazon Prime.
Lajoie will lead the No. 01 Ford Mustang for Ware while he is working to build his mark of sous of sous of stacking. RWR has not announced how many Lajoie races will enter the announcement on Monday, but the 33 -year -old man will try to qualify for the season of next day Daytona 500.
The n ° 01 of Lajoie has no charter, it will therefore have to claim one of the four open places on the Daytona 500 field by the trial or its qualification race. Its Ford will be sponsored by Duramax and will take 5 oil changes.
“Rick Ware is someone who makes things happen. He is a great guy who was a generous friend to help me get this vision of the performance of cents to stack performance, “said Lajoie. “It allowed me to put the n ° 01 on its Ford Mustangs, building fans of the brand linked, supported and applauded in recent years.”
N ° 01 is intended to represent the concept of “stacking cents” that Lajoie has developed around the idea that small victories lead to greater success. His podcast on stacking cents is one of the most popular in Nascar.
It will also make a transition to the broadcast stand when Prime Video starts its Nascar race at five races in May with the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
“In many ways, my driving career was more successful than I could never have dreamed of, but I lose sleep feeling that I have never reached my full potential behind the wheel,” said Lajoie. “The pursuit of improving and others around me has never been as important as it is at the moment.
“My presence on the track will be different from that of previous years, and this will bring a new multitude of challenges, but my heart is ready to have a lasting impact in sport and Nascar communities.”
Lajoie is the son of the veteran of Nascar Randy Lajoie, a double champion of the Xfinity series who won 15 races in 19 years and 350 departures. Randy Lajoie also made 44 series departures.
Corey Lajoie never won in the three national series of Nascar, where he made his debut in 2013 with an Xfinity Start series. He has spent the past eight years in the Cup series, the last four with Spire Motorsports. He recorded four top-five with Spire, but never finished more than 25th in the cutting classification.
