MANHATTAN– Kansas State Basketball will publicly unveil its 2024-25 roster Tuesday evening during a preseason exhibition against Division II Fort Hays State at the Bramlage Coliseum.
Jerome Tang enters his third season as K-State’s coach and has an overall record of 45-25. The Wildcats return just three players from last year’s team that went 19-15 and lost to Iowa in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament.
Of the Wildcats’ three returning players, only super senior forward David N’Guessan is expected to start. Transfers Dug Jones (Michigan), Max Jones (Cal State Fullerton), CJ Jones (Illinois-Chicago) and Coleman Hawkins (Illinois) are the other expected starters for the exhibition.
Fort Hays State is coached by Mark Johnson, who is entering his 24th year with the Tigers and has a record of 451-220.
K-State and FHSU have met four times previously in exhibition games, with the Wildcats winning all three. The most recent was a 79-56 decision by K-State in 2017.
