THE Vikings They didn’t have to sweat much to open the season with a 1-0 record.
Last Sunday’s trip to MetLife Stadium started with a 3-0 score. Giants The Vikings took the lead, but they quickly pulled away and went on to win 28-6. Their victory attempt was aided by the Giants’ quarterback Daniel Joneswho threw a six-point interception and completed 22 of 42 passes on an afternoon that was booed by the home crowd.
These developments were welcomed by the Vikings, but Edge Rusher Jonathan Greenard said on KFAN that Minnesota’s defense actually felt some sympathy for the embattled quarterback.
“We started to feel something a little bad “It’s a good thing for him because we continue to completely take away everything he wants to do,” Greenard said. “It’s good to be on the other side of that, and it’s our job not to be on that side.”
The Vikings won’t have to worry about Jones for the rest of the season, but the Giants will, and Week 1 made it impossible not to wonder how long they’ll keep throwing him on the field while expecting different results.
