The Boston Celtics have a comfortable 2-0 lead over the Dallas Mavericks after winning Game 2 105-98 on Sunday.
It was an overall team victory for the Celtics, who had five different players in double figures that night.
Jrue Holiday continued to prove his importance with 26 points and 11 rebounds to lead the way for Boston. Jaylen Brown added 21 points and seven assists while Jayson Tatum and Derrick White had 18 points each. Tatum also had 12 assists and was one rebound away from a triple-double.
After the game, fans praised Boston for their team’s efforts in the victory.
The Celtics will now hit the road after winning the first two games at home and will look to continue what has been an impressive streak of games. Since the Eastern Conference semifinals, Boston has won nine straight games and is now 14-2 in the postseason.
With all the momentum in the world, the Celtics have to be confident as they head to Dallas for Game 3.
But Mavericks star Luka Dončić and his team will look to avoid a 3-0 deficit, so Boston will have to prepare to get Dallas’ best effort. If the Celtics can win on Wednesday, their first championship since 2008 will be in full view.
