He’s developing into one of the best quarterbacks in college football this season, but his athleticism has never been an issue.
Sophomore Jalen Milroe arrived at the University of Alabama in 2021 as a four-star dual-threat quarterback.
The original Texan has been playing his best lately, including a record-breaking performance against LSU. He became the first signal-caller in school history to record four rushing touchdowns in a game. Milroe lifted the Crimson Tide to a 42-28 victory over the Tigers.
His first rushing score of the game came in the first quarter.
Milroe took off on a zone read option around the left side for a 23-yard touchdown. According to Reel Analytics, Milroe reached a top speed of 20.9 miles per hour in the race. He’s arguably the fastest player on the team, aside from wide receiver Isaiah Bond.
