JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Carson Beck threw two hometown touchdown passes, Daijun Edwards scored twice and No. 1 Georgia topped Florida 43-20 to extend its winning streak to 25. The Bulldogs , the two-time defending national champion have now won three in a row and six of seven in the rivalry known as “The World’s Greatest Outdoor Cocktail Party.” Georgia could have cracked a celebratory glass at halftime. Coach Kirby Smart’s team scored on its first four possessions and stuffed the Gators early and often. The Bulldogs whiffed on two trap plays, including a four-inch pass to the Florida 34-yard line that proved to be the turning point.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Joe Milton III scored a touchdown, Jaylen Wright and Dylan Sampson rushed for scores and Charles Campbell made four field goals to help No. 21 Tennessee outlast Kentucky 33- 27 Saturday evening. Sampson’s 12-yard run midway through the fourth quarter provided a nine-point cushion the Volunteers needed as the Wildcats continued to fight back behind a 372-yard passing performance from Devin Leary. Alex Raynor kicked a 28-yard field goal with 4:24 left to bring Kentucky within a touchdown, but Sampson’s big run on Tennessee’s next drive helped eat up the clock. Leary was 28 of 39 with two touchdowns.

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — Jaxson Dart threw a touchdown, ran for another and No. 12 Mississippi scored on five straight possessions in the first half as the Rebels beat Vanderbilt 33-7. Ole Miss eliminated all thwarted hopes with a 26-0 blitz by going 5 of 5 in the red zone opening a 23-minute stretch that stretched until the 7:40 mark of the second period. Dart scored on a 1-yard run and threw a 6-yard touchdown pass to Dayton Wade, finishing with eight receptions for 120 yards. Quinshon Judkins opened the scoring with an 18-yard run. Vanderbilt was led by reserve quarterback Walter Taylor.

UNDATED (AP) – The upheavals have arrived. Kansas made it two straight weeks with an unranked team beating a top-10 team, when the Jayhawks knocked No. 6 Oklahoma from the ranks of the undefeated to end an 18-game losing streak against the Sooners. The loss of OU occurs a week after the No. 10 North Carolina lost to Virginia at home, and three days before the first College Football Playoff rankings were released. Several other CFP contenders, including No. 1 Georgia and No. 4 Florida State, rolled. None are more impressive than Oregon. Clemson, meanwhile, is now far from those conversations.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (AP) — Max Johnson threw for 249 yards and a touchdown and Texas A&M ended a two-game skid with a 30-17 victory over South Carolina. The game was tied late in the second quarter before the Aggies scored two touchdowns in less than a minute to take a 21-7 halftime lead. The Gamecocks cut it to 21-10 on a 49-yard field goal early in the third quarter and cut it to a one-score touchdown early in the fourth. But they couldn’t get anything going on offense after that as A&M took the win.

AUBURN, Ala. (AP) — Payton Thorne passed for 230 yards and three touchdowns in the first half and Jarquez Hunter ran for a season-high 144 yards to lead Auburn to a 27-13 victory over Mississippi State. The Tigers ended a four-game skid and earned their first league victory under coach Hugh Freeze after taking a 24-3 halftime lead, their largest win in a game of the SEC in four years. Thorne had his best game this season against an FBS team. Mississippi State started quarterback Mike Wright in place of the injured Will Rogers for the second straight game.

CLEVELAND (AP) — The No. 1 seed in the women’s NCAA tournament will get preferential treatment moving forward. The Division I women’s basketball committee voted unanimously to place the tournament’s top seed in a regional group with game days on Friday and Sunday. The move guarantees as much rest as possible for the No. 1 seed between the regional final and the Women’s Final Four. South Carolina coach Dawn Staley had concerns and criticism about her No. 1 seed team not getting the same number of days off as Iowa. Staley contacted his broadcast partner ESPN and NCAA officials about the matter during the Southeastern Conference spring meetings in May.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Regular-season conference champions no longer have a guaranteed spot in the National Invitation Tournament. The NIT Board of Directors changed its qualifying rules for its postseason tournament and declared that regular season champions who do not win their conference tournament and are not otherwise selected for the NIT tournament NCAA will not receive an automatic bid to the NIT. Instead, the NIT will guarantee two teams – based on NET rankings – from each of the six major conferences. That’s two teams from the ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac-12 and SEC. These 12 will also be able to host a match.
