The Glenbrook school in Minden has appointed a new former coach to manage his football program.
Greg Tibbitt, who has already led to school, returned to replace Reagan SmithAccording to sports director James Thurman. Smith resigned in December after guiding his teams to a brand of 13-7 during two seasons with trips to the LHSAA playoff series on the two years.
Tibbitt resulted in Glenbrook in 2012 and 2013, finishing with a 15-9 file including a 9-4 campaign in 2013 with an appearance in the Home semi-finals. Glenbrook is now a member of the LHSAA.
“I am delighted with the opportunity to return to Glenbrook as a football coach and I can’t wait to rely on the rich tradition and recent successes of the Apache football program,” Tibbitt said in a statement. “I’m going to focus on pursuing the momentum and working to develop a championship caliber program that will support success for the years to come.”
Tibbitt was sports director and football coach at the Green Forest High School in Arkansas where he directed the team to his place in class 4A qualifiers.
“Coach Tibbitt initially brought me to Glenbrook in 2012, and our two seasons were among the best years of my 24 -year career,” said Thurman. “He built a hard work culture and responsibility, and each player who had adapted to him respected him and admired him. There is no doubt that he will instill the same standard of excellence in our program today. He is not content to train football – he develops young men who will leave Glenbrook better than they have arrived. »»
