It’s always a big deal when an NHL player hits the 1,000 game mark, and that’s exactly what Myers did. The 6-foot-8 defenseman has built a solid career, and this latest accomplishment only builds on that.
Myers was drafted by the Sabers with the 12th overall pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. In 365 games over six seasons as a Sabre, he recorded 45 goals, 151 points and 485 hits.
In 1,000 career NHL games split between the Sabres, Winnipeg Jets and Canucks, Myers has 93 goals, 372 points and a plus-8 rating.
