Former Calgary Flames forward Trevor Lewis recently played in his 1,000th NHL game with the Los Angeles Kings.
The 38-year-old from Salt Lake City, UT, could have made it to Game 1,001, but Wednesday night’s Kings and Flames game was postponed due to the wildfire situation in the area from Los Angeles.
Lewis, who won the Stanley Cup twice with the Kings in 2012 and 2014, played one season with the Winnipeg Jets before signing as a free agent with the Flames in 2021-22.
In 162 games spread over two seasons in Calgary, he scored 21 goals and 36 points. In 17 seasons, Lewis scored 101 goals and 232 points.
Lewis became the 401st player in NHL history to play 1,000 games and is expected to soon receive his Silver Stick, an award given to players who reach that milestone.
