Kara Lawson’s Duke team is currently on an almighty heater. Early in the season, his Blue Devils struggled and lost four straight, culminating with a 93-77 loss to LSU on December 4.
They haven’t lost since.

The winning streak extended to nine Thursday with a 65-58 victory over Virginia.
Not that it’s easy.
Duke used ball movement to pull away from the Cavaliers in the first half, taking a 35-24 halftime lead, but Virginia fought back, going up 45-44 late in the third.
The Cavaliers took a 51-45 lead into the fourth before Duke began to rally behind layups from Arianna Roberson and Toby Fournier to cut the lead to 51-49.
Roberson tied the game 51-51, then Duke took the lead on an Ashlon Jackson three with 4:54 left and never trailed again.
Toby Fournier led the way with 25 points and 9 rebounds. Jackson finished with 10 and Arianna Roberson, who plays a bigger role off the bench, had 10 points and 6 rebounds in 21 minutes.
