Thompson added to his long list of suitors on Monday (Feb. 23) when the Chargers junior team received an offer from the national powerhouse. Alabama. Kalin DeBoer and the Crimson Tide are the 20th school to join Thompson’s pursuit, including Michigan State, Boston College, Duke, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Appalachian State, East Carolina, Marshall and Charlotte, among others.
According to On3 Sports and Rivals, Thompson is a three-star recruit ranked 31st among statewide products in the class of 2027. He caught 53 passes during the 2025 campaign for 865 yards and 13 touchdowns, helping Crest go 13-2 and win its first state championship since 2015. Additionally, the 6-foot, 182-pound wide receiver has also returned a punt for a touchdown.
