ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Craig Tiley will take over as CEO of the American Tennis Association this year, the group that leads the US Open announced Tuesday.
Tiley is stepping down as director of Tennis Australia and director of the Grand Slam tournament, the Australian Open.

The USTA said in a press release that Tiley would begin his new job in the coming months.
He replaces Lew Sherr, who left the USTA last year to join the New York Mets as President of Business Operations. Sher has served as CEO of the USTA since 2022.
Tiley, a native of South Africa, was head coach of the University of Illinois men’s tennis team from 1994 to 2005, including winning an NCAA championship and going 32-0 in 2003.
He was tournament director of the Australian Open since 2006 and oversaw its expansion. to a 15 day eventbreaking attendance and revenue records. Tiley became CEO of Tennis Australia in 2013.
