Cooper Kupp, Seattle Seahawks
It is difficult to discuss Cooper Kupp without a haunting fact suspended above the procedure. The team that knows him best was almost ruthless in his desire to let go of a franchise icon with a legendary story. The Rams never seemed the slightest piece interested in ensuring that Kupp is part of their 2025 plan, and He seemed to take him off guard in the statement he published in early February.
I do not know the complexities of the medical and the monitoring speed of Kupp players as Rams do – a fairly consecutive part of the equation given its injury history – but just on the basis of its film in 2024, it is not difficult to see some of their shortcuts.
Kupp is a very limited player at this stage of his career. There is not really a threat at the bottom of the field unless the program opens it and does not win against the man of the coverage anywhere near the rate it made in 2021 and 2022. It must be an almost online and offline zone drummer to succeed. It always offers a lot as a tones blocker, has good hands and can discover on rapid exaggerated routes. It is a limited menu for a receiver which has just signed $ 15 million a year to play on a light reception table.
I can understand why the Seahawks have targeted Kupp as a safety valve option for Sam Darnold, a quarter-back that needs a quick response against pressure, instead of keeping the large vertical or DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. However, Kupp has certain real limits at this stage of his career. Given its striking decline in the past two years and its injury history, the next step is disturbing to consider.
Frankly, the success or failure of the addition of KUPP to the Salle des receptor de Seattle is more based on the development of Jaxon Smith-Migba. These two guys have done most of their slit damage.
In the @Nextgenstats ERA (2016 ON), 2021 Cooper Kupp has reception yards for a single season among all slot machine receivers with 1,321.
Second place? 2024 JAXON SMITH-MIGBA, with 956.
Something to understand in Seattle!

If one of these guys kicks outside on an offense inhabited by a coordinator of Klint Kubiak who used 11-people on only 264 bumps (second lower in the League) in New Orleans last season, it’s JSN. While he was a player of the slot machine dating from his Ohio days, he has the chops beating the man in his game to win on the perimeter. This must be a successful transition for everything to meet.
Davante Adams, Los Angeles Rams
The acquisition of Davante Adams is easily my favorite to the position of the receiver so far this offseason. Adams just answers so many questions for Los Angeles Rams.
Adams took more than 40% of his shots in the slit with jets last season, so he brings positional versatility to the team. It is a must for anyone that the rams were going to bring because you want to move Puka Nacua around the training. The fact that Adams can play inside and outside will keep Nacua as the main motion of the offense. However, unlike the receiver he replaces, Adams still has all the skills necessary to be a main X receiver in the RAMS offensive and can beat the coverage of man. Kupp recorded an average of 1.87 yards per route against the coverage of man last season, while Adams was seated at 2.98. This gap is saved, if not even wider, on the film.

Among all the receptors that hit the free market during the offseason or that were exchanged, Adams was easily the best interpreter last season. The aging receptors and the cliff are always difficult, but I am relatively convinced that it can work at this level for another season with a clear competitor of the Super Bowl.
Deebo Samuel Sr., Washington Commanders
I like the adjustment of Deebo Samuel Sr. on this offense of Washington commanders more than most of the league. Samuel has always been one of the most unique receivers in the NFL, but this singularity of his game begins to look more like a limitation than a compliment at this stage of his career. Her ability to separate has never been her business card, but she went from weakness to a real problem last year. And it was true before his fight with pneumonia.
He just doesn’t move as he did, before and after taking. This is a logical place to land, since it has taken more punishment than most receivers as a high-volume receiver in addition to the passing pass and a change of space. Again, it corresponds well to the Washington screen and a horizontal passes set, and even at this declined stage, it can improve the depth of weapons for commanders. It simply does not have as much gas in the tank as its name value.
Deandre Hopkins, Baltimore Ravens
My expectations were really low for the Deandre Hopkins film depending on the way the chiefs mainly pushed it on the side for their playoff race. I found a player deeply in decline while planting it for the perception of reception, but there are several areas where it can be useful for the Baltimore ravens. He always has big hands and can separate on short routes with quick blows. I like Hopkins as a replacement / upgrade of Nelson Agholor and as a person who can present themselves in clutch moments. However, he does not have enough threat to threatening the roles of Zay Flowers, Rashhod Bateman or Isaiah probably, all who rank the way I was before this signature.
Christian Kirk, Houston Texans
The Texans picked up Christian Kirk for peanuts when the jaguars had to release him. It is an excellent insurance for their current misfortunes behind Nico Collins. Kirk brings a vertical capacity from the inside. It has an average of 10.9 air yards per target during its three years as vertical jaguars Slot Man. This can be a big piece of replacement of Tank Dell, which tends to be a case “and if” after a dynamic recruit season of 2023. I do not think that the presence of Kirk removes the wide receiver from the list of possible high rescue choices for Houston, but it can enter the next season with him as WR2.
Mike Williams, Los Angeles Loaders
Sign Mike Williams for “up to” $ 6 million had a total meaning, given its familiarity with the team and the disastrous need for Los Angeles for a real X receiver. I do not think that Williams has a lot of gas in the tank, but it would allow them to move Quentin Johnston from X to Flanker in sets of three receptors. Essentially, if Williams is the only addition of a receiver that this team makes, its being a sacrificial X receiver for Ladd McConkey is excellent news for the fantastic prospects of the second -year receiver. However, with this low contract number for Williams, I doubt that he prevents the charges from writing a receiver on day 2.
Still there not signed
Amari Cooper
Amari Cooper had one of the strangest seasons of my recent memory bank at the broad receiver. With the Cleveland Browns to start 2024, Cooper still separated at a high level but fell too many passes, while playing with the worst quarter of the league. Then, once he was exchanged to the bills, he collapsed as a separator, but generally hung almost all his targets capable alongside one of the best quarters of the game.
I am quite convinced that Cooper struck a cliff and I will not come back to the wide shape of Fringe 1 that we saw during its first two Browns campaigns; I loved the product he put in the cinema these years. However, he could be a reasonable support member of a team light alongside an obvious Alpha. I like Arizona as an adjustment.
Stefon Diggs
The strange part of Diggs still on the market is that I am convinced that he was the best wide receiver on this list last season, outside Davante Adams. In many cases, I don’t think it’s close between Diggs and the guys already in the teams. I must assume that the teams do not like the current medical information they get from the 31 -year -old who tore his LCA at the end of October.
Keenan Allen
The presence of Keenan Allen made the great room of the Bears receptor a little disorderly and crowded last season. However, when he was a bit of a step of progress in Chicago, he showed that he was always able to be a user -shaped machine receiver even if he refused his peak seasons. Allen said he was only interested in playing for the two teams he was previously adapted. If he extends his options, there are clubs that could use the veterinarian.
Diontae Johnson
Diontae Johnson has just released one of the most bizarre and most stupid seasons in the NFL history after being dropped by four teams during a calendar year. It seemed to be a success for the panthers after being exchanged by Pittsburgh, because it was targeted on 27.5% of its routes during the first seven weeks of the season, 10th among the receivers with more roads. Carolina quickly exchanged him for almost nothing, then he poutped both ravens and Texans. Johnson can always open, but he is a player subject to errors who will be 29 years old and is probably considered radioactive after last season. It may well be finished in the league.
Tyler Lockett
I would not be totally surprised if Tyler Lockett decides to move away from football if he does not receive an attractive offer. He has already started working as a real estate agent in the Seattle region before last season. I guess he adapts for a last round with his former coach and quarter-back to Las Vegas as a role player and culture equipment.
