The weekend to crown ten conference champions begins tonight, with 18 teams vying for spots in this year’s College Football Playoff and for seeding that will determine bowl destinations before the national championship game. Then, Sunday noon, the honorable, methodical, rule-abiding, but at the same time resourceful playoff committee will release official brackets for the 2025 12-team College Football Playoff.
One can only imagine that the top brass of the ACC conference will be anxiously drinking lots of Bromo-Seltzer until the ACC championship is decided. If Duke beats Virginia, however, they could indulge in some madness until the bracket is revealed at noon on Sunday. In that case, there’s a good chance the ACC champion will be left out of the College Football Playoff for the second time in three years. Additionally, what impact would a Duke win have on FMFFM’s slight playoff hopes?

As for me, I hope CHAOS. COMPLETE AND TOTAL CHAOS. And of course, I wish the ACC would be left behind again. If this happens, Nole fans can shout loudly: “Who’s laughing now, bitch#$.‘
