The Barrie Colts announced earlier that they will retire the number of the Double Champion of the Stanley Cup, Kyle Clifford.
“Kyle Clifford defines what it means to be an outsider,” said owner and president of Barrie Colts, Howie Campbell. “We are honored to officially suspend the number 13 of Kyle to the rafters here in Sadlon Arena while having Kyle and her family here to celebrate.”
Before becoming a professional, the Barrie Colts wrote the kitchener in Ontario. Originally to the second round of the priority selection of the 2007 OHL.
Clifford played in 184 games for Barrie in three seasons. Meanwhile, he scored 45 goals and added 55 assists for a total of 100 points.

Not only did the score before 6 feet 2 inches more than half a point per game per game per game, he also played the murderous style of hockey for which he became known at the NHL.
At the start of his third and last season with the Colts, Clifford signed a NHL contract with the Kings of Los Angeles.
Clifford spent the majority of his 13 -year career in the NHL playing for the Kings before brief periods spent with the Blues of St. Louis and the Maple Leafs of Toronto. In 753 NHL games, he recorded 104 points and 905 minutes of penalty.
As a member of the Kings, Clifford won the Stanley Cup twice. He first raised the biggest hockey trophy at the end of the 2011-12 season, in his second year with the team, before repeating the feat two years later at the end of the 2013-14 season .
Clifford has spent the last three years playing in the AHL for the Toronto Marlies. There is another team captain this year and has three goals and a decisive pass in 12 games.
Jersey’s retirement ceremony will take place on Thursday, February 27, when the Colts welcome the Saginaw Spirit. The team said that more information on the event will be published closer to this date.
