Colorado The biggest day of football in the transfer portal could be Saturday, January 17. Deion Sanders and the Buffs signed five transfers, bringing their total to 41 additions through the portal.
Notably, two defensive backs have joined the fold, Utah’s Jason Stokes and Paul Omodia of Lamar. Both are lanky 6-foot-2 cornerbacks who project as outside corners for Colorado’s defense.

Omodia led the Southland Conference with 14 forced incompletions, in addition to 57 total tackles, two tackles for loss and one sack. His performance earned him an All-Conference selection. Omodia will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Stokes, on the other handjust finished his first real season with the Utes. The 2025 three-star recruit played in 12 games, recording three tackles and one pass defended.
The two commits are the fourth and fifth cornerbacks the Buffs have added as the program looks to rebuild its secondary.
